the sun pours through her morning window
landing unflinchingly on everything in its path
it takes her breath away
and renews her from the inside out
allowing her to see clearly and understand
while she must never forget . . .
as complacency is never good,
she can relax now and move into the moment
and travel safely into the tomorrow
she pauses for a brief moment
and sunbathes in the warmth
as it streams through her morning window
giving thanks and feeling gratitude
knowing that for today
her world is full of hope and beauty and love

Beautiful light....
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim!
DeleteI like the color, I just got some from Trader Joes and can't wait to get to them to photograph
ReplyDeleteI bought mine there too. Just need some color on the table! Thanks for stopping in.
DeleteThis light is exquisite!
ReplyDeleteI read that many years ago for a book club, we had great discussion from it.
ReplyDeleteThe Cinque Terre is one of my favorite places on earth, and I'm also a fan of Jess Walter. So I'll definitely read this one. He wrote a great book on Ruby Ridge, called "Every Knee Shall Bow," while still a journalist for the Spokane Herald.
