Tequila Shots
Textured with KK 3112
to long walks on the beach
and pockets stuffed with treasures
to boundless conversations on the deck
embellished by cocktail hour
to way too much to eat
and breakfast at Wanda's
to sunsets which render us speechless
and cool salt breezes which find their way into our dreams
to quiet moments with characters in books
who sequester us to unknown places and remote time periods
to articulating in accents and using alias names
and looking them up in the "beach book"
because we can't remember from one year to the next
to dog alerts and phone calls to our boys
to kite flying and parasailing and sand castles
to friendship and traditions
to "the beach"
:::
I dug this out of the archives this morning and thought it would go well with yesterday's post. I am not much of drinker, a glass of wine a few times a month. But on my yearly trip to "the beach" with a couple dear friends, we have cocktail hour each night. We also have a collection of glasses we bring with us to enjoy those cocktails in. These are tequila shots from a few years back in our shot glasses. Pretty fun huh!
Cheers,
xxoo
